HOLLISTER — November 2, 2026. The City of Hollister has published utility rate information effective July 22, 2026, and outlines what new water and sewer customers must provide to open an account.
Starting service
The city lists an application form, proof of occupancy or ownership, government-issued photo identification and a $150 deposit for a new account. Documents must arrive before 3 p.m. for a request to be considered for same-day service, subject to city handling.
Understanding rates
The city’s current rate page lists a $33.33 monthly meter-service charge for common 5/8-inch single-family residential meters, plus water-consumption charges and separate wastewater rates. The final bill depends on meter size, usage, customer class and fees; residents should check the current tariff rather than comparing only the base charge.
Payment and questions
The Utility Payment Center lists 831-636-4301 and an address at 327 Fifth Street. The city offers online and telephone payment methods, and warns that an electronic processing fee may apply. Ask directly about arrangements if a bill cannot be paid by its due date.
